Everest base camp- has to be our all-time favorite trek in the Himalayas.  Trek to the foot of breathtaking Everest, the world’s highest mountain, and set out on a challenging hike to Kala Pattar for a dramatic view of Everest. The magnificent views of Everest, the best trail, wonderful tea houses to stay in and almost continuous views of some of the tallest peaks in the world. The row ends at Everest Base Camp where you can look up the icefall of the Khumbu Glacier towards the peak of Everest which is quite an impressive 3500m above you. On the way, you will see 3 of the worlds 10 tallest peaks which asides from Everest base camp also include-

Cho Oyu (8201m/26,906ft) and Lhotse (8,516m/27,940ft). Just as spectacular although not as tall is the ice-laden walls of Pumori (7,161m/23,494ft) and Ama Dablam (6,812m/22,349ft).

Typically, it takes 11-12 days trek to cover Everest Base Camp which is 130km round-trip. It takes up to eight days to get to Base Camp and four days to get back down, broken down overall into nine days of long trekking and three short trekking acclimatization days.

Some people take a selfie in dangerous places, pose on risky places, don't follow guide instruction, walking on edge of track are some careless factor that might create a serious problem and even death of travelers. Elevation of Everest Base Camp is at 5,380 m (17,600 ft) on the south side of Everest in Nepal. Expedition members usually fly into Lukla (2,860 m) from Kathmandu and pass through Namche Bazaar.
