HOW TO MAKE SUJI KA HALWA IN JUST 15 MINS


Suji ka Halwa or Sooji halwa - A classic Indian sweet (dessert) made very easily with 4 ingredients only and requires just 15 mins to cook.



suji ka halwa is like pudding and is made with 4 basic ingredients: semolina which is called sooji in Hindi,  butter, (ghee), sugar and water. The rest of the ingredients are green cardamom powder (elaichi), kishmish (raisins), soaked and chopped almonds.

suji ka halwa is loved by kids and adults alike. Also since it is so quick to prepare, it is one easiest dessert for making during festivals or when the craving for something sweet.

how to make sooji ka halwa?

 Sooji ka halwa required Ingredients:




  • 1.suji / semolina - 2 tbsp(fine)
  • 2.almond and cashew nut powder - 1 tbsp
  • 3.cows ghee - 1 tbsp
  • 4.carrot - 1 medium
  • 5.milk - 1 cup(raw)
  • 6.gree cardamon powder - 1 pinch

 Steps To make suji ka halwa- suji ka halwa banane ka tarika-recipe for suji ka halwa  




·         Firstly take a heavy bottom Kadai and add suji to it. 
  1. Take another heavy bottom pan, add ghee and roast nuts until slightly golden
  2. Remove nuts from pan an add semolina/suji and roast it until it is lightly crisp without browning it over medium flame. NOTE: Make sure to stir continuously
  3. It will take approx. 6-7 minutes and you will know it is ready when the raw smell disappears.
  4. With the low flame on low, stir suji continuously till slightly brown in color and a mildly sweet aroma is set free.
  5. When the suji is about to get brown switch off the flame or reduce the flame but keep stirring the suji till it acquires a uniform light brown color.
  6. Now reduce the flame to low; slowly add boiled milk while stirring continuously to avoid spluttering and forming any lumps
  7. Once combined well, increase flame to medium and cook until all milk gets absorbed
  8. At this point, add mashed banana, sugar and cardamom powder
  9. Stir until sugar dissolves and it has a semi-solid consistency. The halwa will leave the sides of the pan at this point. Let it cook for another 2 mins approx
Now your traditional Kesar and badam Suji ka halwa-Sooji ka halwa is ready to serve.

 Suji ka halwa essential tips :
·      change water with milk to enhance its taste and make it softer. The recipe remains exactly the same.
·      Dissolve 3-4 saffron strands in 2,1/2  tablespoons milk for 5 minutes and add it in the mixture.
NOTE – Make sure you are not miserliness on ghee. Ghee not only adds to the taste but ensures that your suji halwa doesn’t clump together.
